Golfing Pebble Beach Legendary Course is Affordable Dream

Golfing the legendary course Pebble Beach is an affordable dream that can come true! If you could poll every golfer around the world, Pebble Beach would be at the top of most people's list. Golf Digest ranked Pebble Beach number one on "America's Greatest Public Courses List" 2009/2010.

Jack Nicklaus stated “If I had only one more round to play, I would choose to play it at Pebble Beach. I’ve loved this course from the first time I saw it. It’s possibly the best in the world.” I also loved Pebble Beach when I first saw it. I stayed there eight days before and during the Pro-Am.

Denis Bruncak of Columbus Ohio stated “This is my favorite course in the world. It’s worth every penny. We often bring customers out here to entertain them, and it’s absolutely terrific. It doesn’t matter what it costs.”

Marcia Beckman of Woodland Hills, California said “We’re staying here at the Lodge at Pebble Beach, and I would call it the ultimate golf experience. The scenery is fabulous. Some of the courses we played in Ireland and Scotland looked like this, but Pebble has more holes along the ocean. I will be back.”

Bill McCubbin of Louisville Ky remarked “We come once a year. Every year it gets more spectacular. I got here Saturday and it rained Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and it didn’t matter. If you’re going to play golf, you have to play here. I’ve had as high as 120 here. It doesn’t matter. You just watch the ocean and enjoy it.”

Harold Melville of Houston said “You look forward to it, and you’re very disappointed when you don’t play well. I didn’t play well. The course was wet, and at my age [76] I need all the roll I can get. The fee prices out the guy whose lifelong dream is to play Pebble Beach. There aren’t many who can afford it.”

All four of the previous quotes are from Golf Digest article.

Some people would play Pebble Beach at any cost and others have to save up for years to go. In my opinion as well as thousands of others, it is a trip well worth every penny! Current rates for Pebble Beach are $495 including cart and two nights stay is required. So, count on dropping two grand minimum for the least expensive room and your flight.

Not only is it an experience that you will remember for the rest of your life, it will be a topic of interest among all your golfer friends. It will be a transcendental experience as you will be walking the steps of all the greatest golfers who made history and looking the mesmerizing vistas out over the cliffs to the Pacific Ocean.

There are so many memorable historic events so here are three. Tom Watson's chip in on the par 3 17th with a follow up birdie on the finishing 18th enabled him to win the 1982 U.S. Open over Jack Nicklaus by two strokes. The U.S. Open returns to Pebble Beach in 1992 for the third time and Tom Kite wins in brutal winds with and incredible par round to finish 3 under for the tournament. The 100th U.S. Open is played in 2000 at Pebble Beach. Tiger Woods wins by 15 strokes and ties the 72 hole scoring record for the national championship.
